For our new episode, we spoke with Dr. Monica Gandhi. Dr. Gandhi is an infectious disease specialist and professor at UCSF/ San Francisco General Hospital. She and her colleagues have developed a theory that face masks – among their numerous other benefits — might be helping populations develop a type of immunity to COVID, a theory published recently in the New England Journal  of Medicine.
