He has captured on film the artists working and playing in Los Angeles and beyond. The photographs provide a unique window into the art world in that they reach beyond mere recording to allow the viewer to be present at intimate moments of creativity and inspiration. Felsen’s photographs have been exhibited internationally and published in exhibition catalogs by such prestigious institutions as the National Gallery of Art, the Museum of Modern Art, the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, the Guggenheim Museum, the Whitney Museum of American Art, and Dusseldorf’s Kunsthalle.
Felsen has held leadership roles on the board of the Graphic Arts Council at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art as well as the Grunwald Center for the Graphic Arts at the Hammer Museum.
